Florida and Baylor were the biggest risers in this week’s edition of the NCAA Basketball power rankings. Who else made the cut across the nation?
Another week of NCAA basketball is complete and therefore a new edition of the top-25 national power rankings has arrived. This is the last set of rankings before the festivities of Feast Week truly take center stage and therefore there are bound to be an enormous number of changes over the next few days. Top teams will be taking on challenges throughout the week in phenomenal “appointment viewing” matchups and that will result in many rankings shifts.
Over the course of this past week, the majority of the top teams in the nation were able to maintain their positions by simply going about their business against low-level competition. With that said, though, was Duke able to overtake Louisville for the No. 1 spot after securing strong high-major victories in its non-conference tournament? Maybe so.
Additionally, the likes of Baylor and Florida both impressed while taking the titles of their respective events. Both teams had to defeat a top-25 team in the championship game and therefore deserve to return to these rankings after a brief reprieve. It is nearly impossible to find a handle on who the best teams in the country truly are this season so hopefully Feast Week will shed some light on which teams are “contenders” and which are “pretenders”.
But, with the remainder of Feast Week tipping off soon, let’s jump right into this edition of the top-25 national power rankings without any further introduction.
