The Battle 4 Atlantis field is loaded as the final game of day one will feature Oregon vs. Seton Hall. Both teams are in the top-15 with this game shaping up to be one of the best early on in this season. What should we look for on Wednesday night?

The nightcap of opening day at Battle 4 Atlantis is a top-15 matchup between Oregon and Seton Hall. Half of this Tournament features top-15 teams. This is the most loaded early-season Tournament. We get a treat at the end of day one with two teams are going to in this spot of the ranking all season long. Oregon is one of the front-runners to take an improved Pac-12. With Villanova’s early struggles, the Pirates should be in good position to be right near the top of the Big East.

We’re going to see two of the top guards in the country Wednesday night. Both seniors who have been with their programs for what seems like a decade. Myles Powell was right on the top-100 mark in 2016 for Seton Hall. He averaged double-digit points his first two seasons, but as a junior, he really went off. Powell came six shy of making 100 three-pointers as a sophomore. He eclipsed the century mark last season.

Payton Pritchard was a freshman when Oregon went on their great final four run. He started in all but four games for the Ducks. He’s been a starter his entire career in Eugene. Pritchard basically has done whatever Dana Altmann has asked him to do. He needed to help Dylan Ennis with point guard duties as a freshman. He then needed to help Oregon just stay competitive as a sophomore after losing a ton of talent around him. Pritchard was more of a passer last season. This year, it’s his team to run.

The Pirates aren’t doing anything wrong this season. they lost an emotional, classic game to a really good Michigan State team. They responded by winning on the road pretty convincingly to a decent Saint Louis team. Seton Hall knocked off three mid-majors and find themselves in a really good tournament. The Pirates began the season ranked 12th and have only dropped one spot.

Oregon has had two pretty good wins. The Ducks beat a pair of Mountain West teams, knocked off Memphis with James Wiseman on a neutral court, beat UTA and then defeated Houston with Quentin Grimes. Everyone had mixed feelings about Oregon based off of what the Pac-12 has done in recent seasons. The Ducks are playing very quality basketball as well as most of the Pac-12. Oregon went from 15 to 11 in three weeks, setting this matchup in Battle 4 Atlantis one of the best in the early season.
