With Feast Week in full swing, where does each Big East basketball team stand in the conference’s power rankings? Only two unbeaten teams remain.

Big East basketball might be the toughest conference to describe in the entire country. Over the first few weeks, it has become evident that the league does not boast a true national title contender (yet). That much became clear with Seton Hall and Villanova both suffering their second losses of the season With that said, though, at least the top nine teams in the Big East seem prepared to compete for at-large bids this season. While some programs have definitely underperformed to begin the year, others have exceeded expectations.

Above all others, DePaul and Butler have been the biggest surprises so far. Even though both were picked to finish in the bottom tier of the conference this season, it appears as though neither got the memo. The Blue Demons and the Dawgs both sit at 7-0 in the early-season while each has picked up their fair share of wins over high-major opponents. As a result of their respective strong starts, it is fair to think that both teams belong in the upper half of the league right now.

Having said that, the Big East is still incredibly difficult to rank at this moment. This is especially true with one of the teams in the league (Marquette) having only played four games to date. Still, here comes another edition of my Big East Basketball Power Rankings.  Based on what I have already stated, expect to see Butler and DePaul both rise up the rankings once again while a few others have taken steps back.

The toughest decision in these rankings, though, is perhaps picking who should be ranked first. Villanova and Seton Hall are the clear top contenders but both already have two losses. Without further ado, though, let’s just dive into the rankings, starting with St. John’s at the No. 10 spot
