Big Ten Basketball: What each team is thankful for so far in 2019-20

Maryland – Dominating every opponent this season
The Terrapins have outscored their opponents thus far 408 to 294. They defeated Oakland by 30, George Mason by 23, and Holy Cross by 24 points. Maryland is ranked No. 5 in the country and they look to remain undefeated in non-conference play this holiday season. The Terrapins is a team in the Big Ten that has a lot to be thankful for but they want to prove that they are capable of winning the Big Ten this season.
Michigan – The Wolverines won their first five games of the season
Entering the season with a new head coach who is replacing the legendary coach John Beilein, the Wolverines didn’t necessarily now what to expect. However, former Fab Five member Juwan Howard has the Wolverines playing well winning their first five games of the season. Michigan defeated Creighton in the Gavitt Tipoff Games and beat Iowa State in the Battle 4 Atlantis opening game. The Wolverines have their basketball team’s good start to be thankful for this holiday season.
Ohio State – Being ranked in the top 10
The Buckeyes football team is ranked No. 1 in the newest college football playoff rankings and Ohio state is ranked in the top 10 in the college basketball polls and deserving of such a high ranking. The Buckeyes defeated Cincinnati and beat previously top 10 ranked Villanova by 25 points. Ohio State is undefeated but like Maryland is looking to compete for a Big Ten conference title and possibly a Final Four appearance.
