1. Get the Zags in Foul Trouble

Gonzaga is arguably the most well-rounded team in the nation with a total of six players averaging double digits in points each game.

With six players averaging double-digits in points, Gonzaga is going to be a very tough team to beat and this would be the reason why they’ve beaten opponents by an average of over 30 points per game this season.

However, if you can drive to the basket, make Gonzaga put you on the line and force Mark Few’s hand when the Zags get in foul trouble, you might find yourself in a good position.

Gonzaga is a very deep team with eight players averaging over 20 minutes per game, but beyond those eight, there is not a single player averaging double-digit minutes per game.

This means that if you can force some of these guys who don’t see the court nearly as much as those other eight, you’ll be in pretty good shape, unfortunately for Oregon however, this is something other teams have yet to be able to do.

On the bright side, Oregon is the first ranked opponent for Gonzaga this season and a lot of the matchups are somewhat favorable for the Ducks.

If Oregon can stick to their game plan and show the same resilience they did against Seton Hall Wednesday, they will make it very tough for Gonzaga and the key to making it tough for Gonzaga is putting them into foul trouble by attacking the rim time and time again.

Southern Miss only got Gonzaga to commit 10 total turnovers on Wednesday and because of this the Zags went onto win by 25 points.
