The Michigan Basketball team is coming off winning the Battle 4 Atlantis in convincing fashion. What do they need to do to keep up the momentum at Louisville?
Michigan Basketball had a lot of questions coming into this year, but they seemed to answer almost all of them during their time in the Bahamas. They took care of Iowa State, North Carolina, and Gonzaga en route to the Championship of the Battle 4 Atlantis.
While the Iowa State was somewhat close throughout, the Wolverines used huge second-half runs to blow out both North Carolina and Gonzaga. In a field full of top 15 teams the unranked Wolverines looked like the best team and it didn’t seem close.
They have used balanced scoring, great rebounding and even better defense to stymie each one of their opponents and now sit at 7-0 on the season. They went from unranked to top five in one week in a historic jump in the polls.
But their toughest test of the year will happen on Tuesday when they head to Louisville to take on the number one ranked Cardinals in part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. This was a game that many people were talking about as a rematch of the 2013 National Championship game, but now it looks like it could be a battle for the number one ranking.
No team has as good of a resume as the Wolverines have right now and another big-time win would vault them even higher. The KFC Yum! Center is a tough place to play and will teach us even more about the Wolverines. But so far they have passed every test with flying colors.
We take a look at the three keys for the Wolverines to pick up a huge road win and cement themselves as one of the top teams in the country.
