NCAA Basketball: Myles Powell leads early 2019-20 National Player of the Year race

Oregon had a disappointing Feast Week as the left Atlantis with a 1-2 record – their first two losses of the season. However, those losses both came against top 10 teams and were by a combined five points. Both were also part of a stretch in which they played three games in less than 48 hours, which isn’t ideal by any stretch of the imagination.
So Oregon gets a bit of a pass, but Pritchard‘s play was outstanding throughout, as it has been all season.
The senior is doing everything for the Ducks, averaging 18.6 ppg, 5.5 apg, and 4.4 rpg. He creates when he needs to and scores when he needs to, shown by him hitting a dagger three-pointer to beat Memphis on November 12.
Pritchard also spearheaded Oregon’s 19-point second-half comeback against Seton Hall, led the Ducks from 17 down to force overtime against the Zags, and nearly had them rally from another double-digit deficit against North Carolina.
There are very few players in the country who provide as steady of a hand for their team as Pritchard, who should be a mainstay on this list all season long.
