MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN – NOVEMBER 13: Markus Howard #0 of the Marquette Golden Eagles /

474. . . Previous: 5th. Markus Howard. 6. player

Markus Howard can be a bit of an enigma because of how hot and cold he can be from game to game. He was held to just six points on 1/12 shooting in a loss to Maryland and 18 points on 6/21 shooting in a loss to Wisconsin.

Yet when he’s on, he puts up some special, special performances like his 40-point outing against Davidson or stunning 51-point display against USC.

Howard now has three 50-point games in his career, which is a historic total. There is only one other player that has a 50-point game in the history of the Big East and two other active players that have recorded a 50-point game in their careers. He’s also the only player with multiple 50-point games in their career since the turn of the century.

Unfortunately for Howard, he has set the bar so high that unreal scoring totals almost become expected – and make those six-point clunkers so head-scratching (he tends to struggle against length). He needs to carry Marquette to multiple big wins and have big performances along the way to avoid sliding down this list.
