After a subpar season a year ago, Sean Miller has Arizona Basketball poised for a deep tournament run come March.

As the 2018-19 college basketball season came to a close for Arizona Basketball, the Wildcats record was not what they or their fans were used to seeing, 17-15. To some, that may not seem awful, but to a program fresh off a four-seed in the NCAA tournament and having the number one pick in the 2018 NBA draft, it was a down year.

Now, led by a stellar 2019 recruiting class, Arizona is poised to get back to a top seed in the tournament and make a run towards a national championship.

So far, Arizona and their freshman have lived up to the hype. While only playing two major conference games, the Cats have shown that they have the potential to run through the Pac-12 while padding their tournament resume in the process.

The rest of the Pac-12 won’t be a pushover though with Oregon, Colorado, Washington and Stanford solidifying their resume’s with major conference wins. With three other teams ranked in the conference, Arizona will still need to be consistent in order to win the Pac-12.

While this task may be tough, here are three reasons they could make that deep March run through the Pac-12 and NCAA tournament.
