AAC Basketball is off to what has been a relatively disappointing start to the 2019 season, how do the teams sit just weeks away from conference play?

Memphis have been dealt a big blow with star center James Wiseman suspended for 12 games back in November. USF lost star forward Alexis Yetna before the season even started and teams like Houston and Cincinnati don’t have any quality wins yet.
Five bids didn’t seem out of the question back in October and now, it’s looking more like a three or four bid league. There’s not a lot of quality non-conference wins across the board making it difficult to see the selection committee show a lot of love to the conference when it comes time to hand out the at-large bids.
Memphis is the only team that currently sits in the top 25 of the AP Poll coming in at #13. In fact, they’re the only team in the conference even receiving any votes. In what looks like it could be a down year for the conference, there’s only one team that appears to be a lock to be playing in March at this point.
Let’s break down the conference from top to bottom, talk about who’s playing well and who’s not and what teams are going to need to do to put themselves in a position to earn a bid to the NCAA tournament before the start of conference play.
