With the NCAA Basketball non-conference wrapping up, what do our podcast hosts have to say about the turmoil and results so far?

Welcome to the latest Busting Brackets Podcast, where regular hosts Connor Hope and Brian Rauf will talk about everything NCAA Basketball from the past week. Thank you to everyone who has listened to this and last season’s episodes as we hope to continue providing content via the site and live discussion.

There’s no bigger NCAA Basketball news out there than star UNC point guard Cole Anthony now out for 4-6 weeks after undergoing a knee procedure. With the Tar Heels in the midst of a now four-game losing streak after falling to Gonzaga, where does Roy Williams and company go from here? Two other key players are also out in Iowa’s Jordan Bohannon (out for season) and Seton Hall’s Myles Powell (indefinitely with a concussion). The guys give their thoughts on the viability of those teams without their best players.

Besides the injuries, there were plenty of notable results from the past week. That includes Gonzaga going on the road and beating the Arizona Wildcats. With two losses against the best teams they’ve played so far (Baylor and Gonzaga), how good are the Wildcats exactly? Connor gives his thoughts on the young, yet talented team.

Arizona might not be the best team out west but both Gonzaga and Oregon have shown what they’re both capable of early on this season. With the Bulldogs running through the toughest part of their schedule and the Ducks getting arguably their best big man available in N’Faly Dante, which team do you trust more the rest of the season?

With another No. 1 team falling last week in Ohio State, who exactly are the top-tier NCAA Basketball teams this season? Both Connor and Brian give out their lists, including a mid-major team that might actually be better than Gonzaga? Find out who that specific squad is.

This upcoming Saturday slate of games is the best big day left of the calendar year, filled with a bunch of intriguing games. Whether it’s UCLA vs UNC, Kansas vs Villanova, Ohio State vs Kentucky and others, it’s the last chance for many of them to have a resume-building win. Which games this weekend are the guys looking forward to most?
