No. 2 Golden State Warriors – Anthony Edwards, Georgia Guard

With major talent already on their roster, the Warriors should select the best player available and that’s Anthony Edwards.

This just feels downright unfair. The Warriors are having a terrible season to this point to be fair, but that’s to be expected when you lose Kevin Durant and Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are on the shelf with injuries.

Still, the Warriors adding Edwards would be an unbelievable addition to a stacked roster. If they do decide to hold on to D’Angelo Russell beyond this season here’s what their lineup next season looks like:

Steph Curry, D’Angelo Russell, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Kevon Looney starting with Edwards, Eric Paschall, and others off the bench. That’s a boatload of talent, and it would be a great situation for Edwards.

While he is probably the most talented guy in his class, Edwards is still raw and has some obvious flaws. He could learn from two of the greatest shooters of all-time and have his mistakes covered for by the talent around him in his rookie season.

In addition to that, the Warriors get to groom another potential stud for years to come. It’s absurd that the Warriors may end up in this position, but it would be a win for everyone involved.
