No. 3 New York Knicks – LaMelo Ball, Illwara Hawks Guard

The Knicks have been stuck in basketball purgatory for far too long, LaMelo Ball can be the one to save them.

New York Knicks fans have been suffering for a long time. The team needs a lot, but more than anything else they need some fun and excitement on the basketball court.

LaMelo Ball is the player that New York can finally rally around. From a pure basketball standpoint, this move makes sense for the Knicks. R.J. Barrett and Mitchell Robinson are their most promising prospects to this point, adding LaMelo forms a nice core of three players to move forward with.

The youngest ball brother could be the key to unlocking the Knicks’ potential. Ball’s style of play is infectious: he plays fast and he moves the ball.

In all likelihood, given his age and lack of experience, Ball is going to have some growing pains and hit some rough patches as a rookie, but he oozes with potential.

He would give the Knicks a level of excitement and potential that the franchise has not had in a long time. The Knicks need to hit a home run with their pick and Ball should be the prospect they choose to take a swing at.
