Top-tier NCAA Basketball wing prospect Kendall Brown recently picked up an offer Vanderbilt but seven other schools are currently making him a priority.

Top 35 class of 2021 NCAA Basketball recruit Kendall Brown has been outstanding in his first season at Sunrise Christian Academy (Bel Aire, Kansas), and his recruiting is heating up. Brown has been excellent on the court leading SCA  to a 13-1 record following its run at the City of Palms (Florida) tournament, where the 6-7 wing earned all-tournament team honors. He also left the tournament with a new offer from Vanderbilt.

“Oh yeah, just taking the game slower and getting easier shots for me and my teammates have been great, and my recent work on my shot is showing on the floor,” Brown told Stockrisers.com on his recent play.

Brown now holds 19 offers with Milwaukee and St. Louis being the only programs not from a high-major conference. The 16-year-old said that Marquette, Minnesota, Ohio State, Arkansas, Maryland, Kansas, and Baylor was the teams pursuing him the hardest at this point. He added that each of the seven schools talked about how they would use him and how the schools could help him reach the next level.

Brown possesses tight handles, good athleticism, and is pretty lengthy. Brown excels in the open court and is a great finisher at the rim. He also has an excellent mid-range game, sees the floor well, and is a good passer.

The Saint Paul (MN) product made an official trip to Marquette back on Oct. 25. He also took an unofficial visit to Lawrence (KS) when KU faced Milwaukee, which is where Brown’s brother Courtney Jr. plays, on Dec. 10.

Brown is considered a prime prospect and is ranked between 17 and 35 by the four primary recruiting services. Rivals have him rated the highest among the recruiting services at No. 17 while 247Sports, which is the only one to have Brown as a four-star recruit, have him the lowest at No. 35. Brown is ranked at No. 20 in both ESPN’s and 247Sports Composite rankings.

While it is way too early in the process to predict where Brown will wind up, Kansas is considered the favorite. KU does not yet have a commitment from the junior class and is currently expected to have just two scholarships available. The Jayhawks do have 16 open offers with Hunter Sallis, and Harrison Ingram, along with Brown, expected to get most of their love.

Sallis is a 6-3 four-star combo guard from Omaha, Nebraska. Sallis holds 15 offers overall. Nebraska has also has been after him hard, and he has made an official as well as an official visit to Lincoln since the end of September. Overall, Sallis has made three visits to Nebraska, one trip to Iowa (2018), and one trip to Iowa State (2018). KU just offered the consensus top-60 guard on Nov. 20, 2019.

Ingram is a consensus top-20 prospect from Dallas. The 6-6 wing, who holds 20 offers, has already taken official visits to Stanford and Texas Tech. Baylor coach Scott Drew has made an in-home visit while Purdue also is believed to be very much in the mix. Kansas has not officially offered Ingram yet.

Five-star Khristian Lander, Jaden Hardy, and four-star big men Alex Tchickou, as well as Frank Anslem, are also players that KU is also monitoring.
