2. Mike Krzyzewski

It was more of the same success for Krzyzewski in his fourth full decade at Duke. College basketball’s all-time winningest head coach just continues to rack up wins and accomplishments, with the success of these last ten years no minor feat.

Sure, Duke has been a dynamic program for decades under Krzyzewski, but adding two more titles clearly remains a great accomplishment. His Duke teams are always near the top of the ACC and you can expect them to be a serious title contender on a yearly basis. They’ve faltered early, making the Elite Eight each of the last two Tournaments, but that doesn’t do anything to undermine their success.

Krzyzewski’s Blue Devils got the decade started with their thrilling championship win over Butler in 2010. Their 2015 team knocked off Wisconsin at the very end, giving Krzyzewski his fifth national title. The Blue Devils made seven trips to the Sweet Sixteen or later, though they were also upended by Lehigh and Mercer in recent tournament trips.

In all, any decade that includes multiple national titles and a plethora of conference success will put Krzyzewski’s name near the top of the list. The weirdest part of the decade was Duke’s singular ACC regular season title, which came all the way back in 2010. However, the ACC is the nation’s toughest conference. Krzyzewski’s recruiting and in-game coaching remains among the very best in the nation and the results on the court clearly prove it.
