With conference play coming up soon, what are the biggest questions to be asked for SEC Basketball going forward?

In the last few years, SEC Basketball has grown into a great overall league for college hoops. Instead of just being Kentucky and everyone else, multiple teams have stepped up to challenge the Wildcats on a regular basis and help elevate the conference right up there to the same level as the ACC and Big Ten.

This season though, the SEC has taken a bit of a step back. Currently, only two teams are ranked in the AP top-25 (No. 17 Kentucky and currently unbeaten No. 8 Auburn), while several other teams have fallen below expectations throughout the non-conference. No one is more guilty of that than the Florida Gators, who have gone from preseason top-10 in the country to unranked thanks to four losses. Overall, everyone is at least above .500 but there are many questions heading into conference play.

To get a better grasp of the SEC, I asked a few of our talented writers here at Busting Brackets to help out and provide some answers in the latest of our roundtable series. These guys have closely followed the conference so they’ll give good insight as to what’s going on, as well as what to expect going forward. These are the specific writers for this topic:

Brian Rauf – @brauf33

Matthew Travis – @mjtrav627

Curtis Wilkerson – @CWilk_Hoops

Charlie DiSturco – @charliedisturco

Thanks to these fine gentlemen for their answers to this roundtable and please give them a follow to see what else they have to say about the SEC and other college basketball content. Without further ado, here is our SEC Basketball roundtable.
