2. Where will Michigan finish in the Big Ten standings?

Mauro

Michigan still has pieces to finish in the top half of the league. With Simpson and Teske running the show. The shooting of Livers and Eli Brooks is the dividing line for them. If those two shoot the ball well and can spread the floor. Michigan is very dangerous.

Brown

I think they have the ability to finish in the top five. They have the talent to do so with Jon Teske, Zavier Simpson and Isaiah Livers leading the charge. They can’t afford to have losing streaks in the conference. That’s going to hurt them. I think their Big Ten Conference schedule is a fairly easy one. In their first five games, they play Michigan State, Purdue, Minnesota, Iowa and Penn State. If they can get out of this stretch with a winning record, they’ll be in good shape.

Chambers

Michigan will finish in the top 3. Juwan Howard has a great team and can show lots of signs of promise during conference play. Michigan has a great big in Teske who can help carry the team to where they want to be.

Kay

Michigan if fully healthy can be an Elite 8 team. They outside Simpson and Teske, they are relatively a young team with a first-time head coach. However, they did show their ability to win back to back to back games in the Bahamas by beating Iowa State, North Carolina, and Gonzaga in a tournament format. Likely 3rd in the Big Ten.

Michigan in years past has surprised many in the NCAA tournament by advancing far in the tournament and this year they have the ability to do so again. If the Wolverines can secure a 3 seed or better in the NCAA tournament, they can be a dangerous team come March.

Childs

The Wolverines are a tough team to figure out right now. When they are shooting the ball well they have proven they can beat anybody including the number one team in the country and did it easily. But they are prone to scoring slumps and that could lose them some games this year. The Big Ten is deep this year but every team has a flaw. With the way, the teams have played Michigan is definitely a top-five team in the conference but could win the whole thing also. I’ll split the difference and say they finish third.
