Pac-12 Basketball: 5 biggest questions for rest of 2019-20 season
No conference was under more scrutiny than Pac-12 Basketball this season. As league play gets going, what are some important questions for the teams involved?
After what can only be considered a disastrous collective season a year ago, Pac-12 Basketball wanted to have a “bounce back” campaign. And thanks to a bevy of talented freshmen and experienced veteran players, there were a number of successes.
To date, the Oregon Ducks have risen as high as the No. 4 ranking, while Arizona has been in the top-15 as well. Washington has been ranked themselves, while the Colorado Buffaloes have been making noise in their own right. And the biggest win from a Pac-12 team altogether came from the Utah Utes, who upset top-10 Kentucky on a neutral site venue.
But there have been some downs as well, including the Utes and other teams losing several combined head-scratching losses, along with each of the top teams falling to Gonzaga in the non-conference, giving a non-Pac 12 program the title of “best in the west”.
So with conference play officially here, I asked a few of Busting Brackets; own talented writers for their help answering a few difficult questions concerning the league. In a continuation of my roundtable series, I asked these following writers for their input on the Pac-12;
Connor Hope – @CondorianFM
Arden Cravalho – @a_cravalho
Jake Verboven – @JakeVerboven
Andrew Dieckhoff – @andrewdieckhoff
Thanks to these gentlemen for their assistance and please give them a follow for more Pac-12/college hoops insight going forward. Without further ado, here are the top questions I have for the top conference out west.
