SEC Basketball is one of just four conferences where every team in the conference holds a record above .500. It is because of this that there isn’t a whole lot separating the teams, but here is where each team falls now, compared to the beginning of the season.
SEC Basketball is arguably the best conference in College Basketball as conference play begins. Not only that, but the SEC also holds one of only two undefeated teams in the nation, the Auburn Tigers.
Auburn, coming off a season where they won the SEC Tournament and also made the Final Four, have gotten off to a 12-0 record as they are led by Samir Doughty.
However, Auburn is not the only team that looks to have a good squad as the calendar flips to 2020 and the SEC turns from non-conference play to conference play.
Another team that appears to be pretty good, to the surprise of many, is the Arkansas Razorbacks. Arkansas currently holds a record of 11-1, but because of their lack of quality wins, they are still not yet ranked.
This is something the Razorbacks can change though, as they will soon be facing better opponents. The question regarding this, however, is whether or not the Razorbacks are capable of beating good teams.
That is something we will soon get an answer to and also something we will dive into further later on.
Back in September I wrote the pre-season rankings for the SEC and just like all of College Basketball this season, the SEC has been completely unpredictable so far.
So without further ado, here are the SEC Power Rankings now that non-conference play is over, compared to the beginning of the season.
