There is a huge Big 12 battle that takes place in Lawrence on Saturday when Baylor takes on Kansas Basketball. Here are three keys to a Kansas win in the big game.

A big battle in the Big 12 takes place on Saturday between two top-five teams when the No. 4 Baylor Bears (12-1) travel to Phog Allen Fieldhouse to take on No. 3 Kansas Basketball (12-2). Baylor hasn’t lost since the second game of the season and the Jayhawks have suffered just a one-point loss to Villanova since dropping their season opener.

Scott Drew’s Bears have been on an absolute tear of late, entering this game winners of 11 straight after knocking off No. 22 Texas Tech on Tuesday. Not only has Baylor been winning and doing so relatively easily, but their defense has also been elite when it comes to scoring defense. Baylor has allowed just 58 points per game, which is the 9th best in the country, they have allowed more than 65 points in a game just once this season, in a pre-Thanksgiving victory over Villanova.

The Jayhawks have been just as strong entering this game, winning 12 of their last 13 with the only loss coming at the hands of those same Villanova Wildcats by a single point. Just as Baylor is strong defensively, Kansas is one of the strongest offensive teams in the country, so in this early conference matchup, it will be interesting to see which team is able to impose its will upon the other.

Phog Allen Fieldhouse is always one of the toughest environments to play in if you are a visiting team and even at home Kansas will have to be on their game if they want to claim Big 12 supremacy in this one. Here are three keys to a Jayhawks’ victory in this fantastic battle.
