Oregon came into the game after winning in overtime at home to Arizona (#12 NET), 74-73, on Thursday. The Ducks started the game firing on all cylinders offensively. Oregon hit 9 for 18 from beyond the arc to take a 40-31 halftime lead.
Arizona State was coming off a big 82-76 win in Corvallis on Thursday. Senior Rob Edwards was the only other Sun Devil scoring in double figures. He finished with 11 points. The Ducks had junior Chris Duarte and senior Shakur Juiston score 20 and 11 points, respectively.
With this win, Oregon is trying to keep pace with Stanford in Pac-12 play. The Cardinal (#14 NET) is sitting on a 3-0 Pac-12 record, 14-2 overall. Coach Dana Altman’s team may still be the favorite to win the Pac-12, with the following takeaways noted.
