Alabama Basketball handed the Auburn Tigers their first loss since April on Wednesday night, so what does this tell us about the Crimson Tide?

Alabama basketball has been a very underrated team throughout the 2019-20 season. With a record that now sits at 9-7, the Crimson Tide don’t exactly look like a great team on paper, but that is not the case.

Alabama is much better than a 9-7 basketball team and the NET Rankings believe so as well. The Crimson Tide are ranked 44th in the NET Rankings and are also the highest-ranked nine-win team in the nation.

Of Alabama’s seven losses, five of them have come by single-digits, including their double-overtime loss in Gainesville against Florida, one point loss against Penn and two-point loss against Penn State.

This goes to show you that Alabama has played in several very close games and had one play in some games and a couple in other games, gone their way, we might be talking about an Alabama team ranked in the top-10, but instead, we are talking about an unranked Bama squad.

However, beating one of two undefeated teams in the nation could signify that Alabama is a force to be reckoned with and it could be a complete turnaround for the Tide as well.

Over the last couple of games, especially Wednesday night’s game against Auburn, Alabama has played a lot of great basketball and now Alabama is in a good position to make a run for March.
