Duke Basketball dropped their second game of the season on Tuesday night at the hands of the Clemson Tigers, but how telling is it of the Blue Devils?

Duke Basketball lost their second game of the season Tuesday and their first against an ACC opponent. The Blue Devils struggled from the get-go and they seemingly never caught up and never put themselves in a position to leave Clemson with a win.

This is now Duke’s second loss to an unranked opponent, but what exactly does it mean? Does this mean Duke is an inconsistent team and will struggle come March? Does it mean we should expect to see Duke lose 4-5 ACC games? Is Clemson actually a decent team? Or was it simply a fluke?

You can draw an infinite amount of conclusions from this game and chances are, your conclusion probably isn’t incorrect. This loss is very confusing to me, Duke looked as if they were hitting their stride and they were making the loss to Stephen F. Austin just look like a one-in-a-million thing, but is that the case now?

This loss also comes at a horrible time with Duke’s next game being against their third ranked opponent of the season, the 10th ranked Louisville Cardinals. This loss is beyond surprising and confusing, but it shows a lot about the identity of the 2019-20 Duke Blue Devils.

So without further ado, here is what Duke’s second loss of the season means, where they go from here and if they can rebound in a large way on Saturday:
