Who are the NCAA Basketball Blue Blood teams that have a legitimate chance to win the National Title this season?

Last week five teams who have a chance to win the NCAA Basketball National Championship were previewed. In this installment, five more teams are going to be previewed. The difference in each piece is these five teams are all teams who were picked by many as the National Title winner in the preseason. The previous batch of five teams were all teams who had emerged as the season progressed as threats for the crown.

As a disclaimer, the Kentucky Wildcats are absolutely a title contender. They will not be covered in either of these articles as they were previewed in the very first Buy and Sell of the year. Kentucky like most of the schools that will be mentioned in this piece is a Blue Blood and will always be considered a threat to win the National Title.  Teams want that win on their resume’s even if Kentucky is having a bad season.

This batch of five teams are all what people would consider Blue Blood programs. They are the teams that are the most polarizing for the fans. They have rabid fan bases and other fans that pay attention to their every move waiting for a slip up. The slip-ups give many fans great joy. These teams are the cream of the crop for a reason and without those teams NCAA Basketball would not be anywhere close the product it is right now. The sport needs these teams to succeed, they are good for viewership especially when they are playing late into March.
