UConn Basketball (10-6) heads to #14 Villanova (13-3) on Saturday afternoon looking to pull off the upset against an old Big East rival and soon to be conference opponent. What are the keys for UConn to get a signature win?

UConn Basketball hits the road Saturday at noon for a non-conference clash with #14 Villanova, Villanova has won nine of their last ten including a win against Kansas heading into this one. UConn is coming off a double-overtime loss to Wichita State in which the Huskies played a strong second half.

UConn are losers of three of their last four and are looking to get back on track, a win against Villanova would help a lot. UConn has realistically played themselves out of an at large bid at this point, the NIT is a more likely destination.

The Huskies just recently lost junior Tyler Polley to a season-ending knee injury last weekend. The junior had started every game this season and was a big contributor averaging 9.5 points and 3 rebounds. His two threes per game were a team-best.

With the loss of Polley, freshman James Bouknight got his first of hopefully many for the Huskies against Wichita and had 16 points, 6 rebounds. He has been a real bright spot for UConn this season and will need to provide a spark against Villanova.

UConn is 31-34 all-time against Villanova, the game will be televised nationally on Fox Sports 1 with tip-off scheduled for 12:00 Eastern on January 18th. Here are the keys for UConn to pull off the big-time upset.
