NBA Draft 2020: What Anthony Edwards has to do to be the #1 pick

Georgia guard Anthony Edwards is the only top 2020 NBA Draft prospect still playing this season. What does he have to do to become the #1 pick?
The 2020 NBA Draft class is projected to be weaker than most of the recent classes, but there are still a handful of potential franchise players in the mix for the No. 1 pick.
However, what makes this season unique is that almost all of those players aren’t currently playing.
James Wiseman, who was the top prospect in the 2019 recruiting class, left Memphis after just three games (and a suspension) in order to prepare for the draft. Cole Anthony, the top point guard prospect, suffered a knee injury in December and may not play for North Carolina again. Then there’s LaMelo Ball, who went overseas to play for the Illawarra Hawks in Australia’s NBL but will sit out the rest of the season due to injury.
That leaves Georgia’s Anthony Edwards as the only top prospect we know we’ll get to see play between now and the draft, giving him sole possession of the stage in front of scouts.
Wiseman left school because he felt comfortable with his position as being the current likely top pick. Ball left Australia confident he’ll be a top-three pick.
But neither of them will have a chance to counter anything Edwards does over the next two months. He’s the only one with the opportunity to rise based on his on-court play.
