At Hoophall, Green showed that his game is continuing to improve and he’s more than just a dunker.

Jalen Green’s name is not new to basketball fans. The No. 3 overall recruit in the nation is an internet sensation due to his high-flying style of play. Still, Green will need to do a lot more than just play above the rim to have success moving forward and at Hoophall, he showed he was capable of doing just that.

Green’s Prolific Prep squad matched up with a tough Lalumiere team and Green answered the challenge going for 26 points, five boards, and five assists while helping lead his team to a seven-point victory.

What was so impressive about Green’s performance was that he scored the ball in a variety of ways. Green did not get many looks in transition, nor did he fly above the rim for any signature dunks during the game. He was challenged to score in the half-court and he did so with a lot of success.

Green showcased an ever-improving shooting stroke, and he also flashed some ability to get himself open off the bounce and knock down tough shots. It was a late step-back three-pointer from Green that proved to be the dagger in Prolific’s win.

It remains to be seen where Green will take his talents to next fall, but wherever he goes the program is getting a star who has endless athleticism and is rounding out other areas of his game to go with it.
