12. Yale Bulldogs

2019-20 record: 13-4 (1-0 in Ivy League)

The Bulldogs are 1-0 in the Ivy League standings after beating Brown, 70-56 thanks to 23 points from Jordan Bruner. Yale also took care of Howard on the road this week, with Paul Atkinson leading the way with 21 points. If they can beat Brown this week on the road in a rematch, they’ll enjoy four straight games afterward at home.

11. Furman Paladins

2019-20 record: 16-5 (6-2 in SoCon)

In terms of the Southern Conference regular-season title race, Furman hasn’t had a great couple of weeks. They lost to both UNC-Greensboro and Wofford to relinquish their early lead in the standings. Furman took their frustrations out on Samford this week, scoring 101 points with six different guys in double figures. The schedule opens up nicely for the Paladins in the next month so the chance to go on a run and get back in first is there for Furman.

10. Harvard Crimson

2019-20 record: 12-4 (1-0 in Ivy League)

Harvard has played just two games since the start of the new year thanks to the Ivy League’s extended break around this time. One of those came against Dartmouth, winning 67-62. Chris Lewis and Chris Ledlum each had 18 points, picking up the slack without leading scorer Bryce Aiken (foot) in the game. The Crimson’s depth has been impressive the whole time and will keep them in contention the rest of the way. But to win the Ivy, they’ll need Aiken back now that the games are back underway.
