Washington Basketball will host Colorado on Saturday, Jan. 23.  What do the Huskies have to do to stay in NCAA at-large contention?

Washington Basketball travels to Boulder to play against the AP #23 Colorado Buffaloes.  The tip-off will be Saturday at 7:00 p.m. MT in the CU Events Center and will be televised on Fox Sports 1.

The Huskies (12-8, 2-5) are coming into Boulder after losing six of their last eight games and four of their last five since losing starting point guard Quade Green.  Green will be on academic suspension until the NCAA Tournament starts.  Whether or not the Huskies will be in that tournament remains to be seen.

The Buffaloes (15-4, 4-2) made their way into the AP Top 25 after their 74-65 win at home over #12 Oregon (15-4, 4-2) on Jan. 2.  Colorado got a bounce-back 78-56 win over Washington State (NET #102) on Thursday when they wore down the Cougars in the second half, after a bad performance at Arizona last Saturday.

Washington (NET #48) is in desperation mode and is in the middle of a bad tailspin.  The Huskies lost to Utah 67-66 Thursday after Washington possessed a 62-55 lead with 2:32 left in the ball game.  This match-up has gained importance as the Huskies (#48 NET) find themselves fighting to stay on the bubble and back to even the middle of the Pac.

While the Buffs will be favorites at home, Washington is now a team with their backs against the wall.  The Huskies will need to address the following in order to pull off the road upset.
