The 2019-20 NCAA men’s college basketball season has been a wild ride so far. And despite there feeling like there is no true top team in the nation, there is still a wealth of NBA Draft-level talent rising up through the ranks. We take a look at four very intriguing prospects from ACC Basketball.
The 2020 NBA Draft Stock Watch (ACC) is to showcase the players who have helped or hurt their chances to be NBA draft picks in recent weeks. We understand that everyone can’t be an NBA lottery pick, so there is an understanding that we believe all of the players listed in these posts are draftable talents. This season the ACC has seen some sustained greatness from the usual powerhouses (current winning streaks of at least six games Louisville, Florida State) and some rough performances from some once-great teams, such as North Carolina being below .500 almost 20 games into their season.
The top 2020 NBA Draft prospect in the ACC is Tar Heels point guard Cole Anthony, who averaged 19.1 points and 3.6 assists per game over nine contests. But Anthony—whose poor shooting numbers may have been affected by a lackluster supporting cast—has been out since mid-December after getting surgery on his partially torn meniscus in his right knee. With Anthony out of the picture, several key players from Duke, Louisville, and Virginia Tech have run with their heightened opportunity to impress NBA scouts.
