The Duke Blue Devils welcome the Pittsburgh Panthers to Cameron Indoor with both teams at a crossroads of sorts with a little over half the ACC season still to be decided.  We’ll take a look at a couple of important areas for both Duke and Pitt as they head into their matchup on Tuesday night.

The ACC basketball season is almost at its’ halfway point and with the Duke Blue Devils taking on the Pittsburgh Panthers in Durham, we’ll see two squads battling some inconsistency while looking to solidify the character of their teams heading into the latter part of their schedules.

Duke is coming off of a bye week after a huge win at home against Miami last Tuesday.  Although the thirty point victory sent them into the break on a positive note, the two previous games, both losses, gave Coach K plenty of things to work on during the layoff.

Pittsburgh is still trying to find its’ footing, but Jeff Capel is slowly and steadily getting a once-proud Panther program back to respectability.  They picked up their first road win in the ACC in over two years at UNC earlier this season and sit at 4-5 after a hard-fought loss against Syracuse in the Carrier Dome.  They are 4-4 in their last eight games and besides a home win against the Tar Heels by fourteen points, every other game in this span has been decided by eight points or less.

Let’s take a look at a few important areas for both teams starting with the visitors, the Pittsburgh Panthers.
