NCAA Basketball: Dayton, Terry Taylor top mid-major performers of the week

Mid-Major Bracketology
I have decided to start the mid-major bracketology section a few weeks early thanks to a major fall from grace that shook up the mid-major landscape. The previously unbeaten in conference play Liberty flames dropped both of their ASUN games this week, losing at Stetson (48-43!) and at North Florida (71-70).
The Flames have tumbled all the way down to 73 in the NET standings, and in a conference that the second-best team (North Florida) is ranked at 198, there are no more chances for the Flames to bolster their resume. Liberty will most likely have to kiss their at-large bids goodbye and hope that the team takes care of business in the conference tournament, something that the favorite has not done in the past two years in the ASUN.
Even with such a weak bubble this year, I’m not sure that mid-majors are going to greatly benefit outside of the aforementioned A10 teams because the mid-major level has suffered from the same talent exodus as the rest of the country. As of right now, ETSU is far and away the team from a traditionally one-bid league with the best shot at an at-large bid.
