Seton Hall continues to be the best team in Big East Basketball as it has started the conference schedule undefeated. Where does every other team stand?

Another week of Big East Basketball is complete and a new edition of the power rankings is coming in right on time. Despite how hectic this season has been across the nation, the past week played out about as expected in the Big East. Seton Hall remains the undefeated leader atop the standings as the best team in the league while Villanova is slotted behind them with just one loss.

After that, the next tier includes Butler and Creighton at 5-3. The Dawgs were arguably the most impressive performers of the last week as they secured back-to-back wins without two of its usual rotation players to recover from a three-game losing streak. With Thompson expected to return soon and bring more stability to the rotation, it is reasonable to think that Butler is back on track.

Creighton, similarly, has been picking up its game lately and has taken advantage of facing the bottom half of the league for five straight games and has won four of those contests. The Bluejays are simply taking care of business in the games that they should win and they have earned a potential Top 25 ranking in the country.

Marquette then deservedly rounds out the upper half of the league at 5-4 thanks to a double-overtime road win over Xavier during this past week. The Golden Eagles have won four of their last five games and are receiving contributions from more than just Howard on the offensive end.

In my opinion, those five teams clearly represent the upper echelon of the league and Nos. 6-10 can be ordered in any which way. So, without any further ado, let’s dive into this week’s edition of my Big East Basketball Power Rankings.
