With Virginia taking down FSU at home, it has moved back into our bracketology projected field. How does the rest of the bracket shake out?

Bracketology season in college basketball is heating up significantly as February is nearly upon us. With that said, teams across the nation are working diligently on putting together their best possible resumes. Bubble teams, though, have really struggled to do that as of late. Now that conference play is in full swing, it appears as though the top teams in each league are really starting to assert their dominance.

This is perhaps most evident in the Big East as the league is now staring down potentially only five bids – all of them, though, would likely receive single-digit seeds. The same could also be said about the Big 12 as the top three teams in the conference are way ahead of everyone else. With regard to the Big Ten, some of its bubble teams are now nearing sub.-500 overall records and that wouldn’t cut it on Selection Sunday.

Still, major opportunities are approaching for every team to add to its resume.  This weekend is absolutely filled with huge battles that have huge implications on the future of this NCAA basketball season. VCU at Rhode Island kicks off the festivities on Friday night before the following two days also boast big-time matchups.

Now, without any further ado, let’s jump into this edition of my bracketology projected bracket. This field is updated through games played on Jan. 30th.
