The Indiana Hoosiers are looking for answers after back-to-back losses to Maryland and Penn State. The Ohio State Buckeyes need a win as they continue to climb the conference ladder.

Who: Indiana Hoosiers 15-6, (5-5 Big Ten) at Ohio State Buckeyes 13-7, (3-6 Big Ten)

When: Saturday, February 1st at Noon ET

Where: Value City Arena in Columbus, OH

TV Schedule: ESPN

Both of these teams need to win desperately as the Big Ten and NCAA Tournaments will be approaching before we know it.

The Ohio State Buckeyes started the 2019-20 season ranked as low as No.18 and as high as No. 2. Their problems started when they lost four straight games to No. 22 West Virginia, Wisconsin, No.12 Maryland and Indiana in the new year. After beating Northwestern on Sunday, now would be a great time for them to go on a run. Kaleb Wesson, Duane Washington Jr., and D.J. Carton are their leading scorers and best three-point shooters.

Against Northwestern, the Buckeyes were down 7-0 early and the three-point shot started falling. It kept falling for the entire game. They finished the game shooting at 44 percent from out there and they exhibited good ball movement to get open shots.

The Indiana Hoosiers have now lost two straight games to Maryland and Penn State. They too are in a unique position to still land in the NCAA Tournament with a push. Trayce Jackson-Davis, Justin Smith, Devonte Green, and Al Durham are their leading scorers.

They lost to Penn State Wednesday night because they turned the ball over at an alarming rate of 17 times. Fifteen of them were steals. Penn State scored 21 points off of those turnovers which didn’t help matters either. Turning the ball over that much will always lead to losing.

Next. Big Ten power rankings. dark

The Buckeyes got the better of the Hoosiers in both meetings last year and I believe this game could go either way. Both teams are struggling and looking for answers. I don’t see a blowout happening here. This game could be determined by five points or less.
