2. Kansas Jayhawks

Record: 18-3, 7-1 Conference

The Kansas Jayhawks have been every bit as expected, losing just one game in their first eight in conference play.

That one loss was not pretty, as it was a blowout loss at home to Baylor, who is now the top team in the country. Aside from that, the Jayhawks have looked awfully sharp, blowing out the teams that they should and contending with other good teams.

The brawl against Kansas State was a bad look, as it resulted in a twelve-game suspension for Silvio de Sousa, but de Sousa was not much of a producer for the Jayhawks anyways.

Big months from Devon Dotson and Udoka Azubuike were not surprising but they were appreciated, while both Christian Braun and Ochai Agbaji have picked it up big down the stretch.

A big matchup on the road against Baylor has all the makings of the Game of the Year, but until then, the Jayhawks will need to remain sharp on unbeatable. The conference title streak was snapped last season, but a new one can be birthed as long as the Jayhawks can pick up a signature win in Waco this month.
