Big 12 Basketball power rankings: Baylor holds strong, Texas moves up
10. Oklahoma State Cowboys
Record: 10-11, 0-8 Conference
There has been no team that has been a bigger disappointment in the Big 12 than the Oklahoma State Cowboys this season.
The Cowboys entered the season as a fringe tournament team, returning all five starters from a ninth-place team that showed serious flashes of potential last season.
However, things have not gone as planned for Mike Boynton’s bunch. Lindy Waters III has not been the player that he was the last three seasons for OSU, Yor Anei has not built off of his intriguing freshman season, and an early-season bout of Mononucleosis for Isaac Likekele.
The Cowboys went a staggering 0-8 in the first month of conference play, all but erasing any hopes of making the NCAA Tournament. Oklahoma State will again look towards next season, a season where the Cowboys will bring in the top recruit in the country, Cade Cunningham.
That is if the Cowboys can keep Cunningham committed to the program despite the disaster that was the month of January. Only time will tell if the Cowboys can build momentum towards what should be an exciting 2020-21 season.
