Although many teams dropped games during this past week, a few stood out en route to rising in our Top 25 NCAA Basketball power rankings.

This NCAA basketball season has been absolutely nuts. Ever since the opening weeks of the campaign when seemingly every single No. 1-ranked team in the country dropped games, pandemonium has been ensuing across the country. It is now February and it is still impossible to determine who the best teams in the country are.

In my opinion, the Top 5 has separated itself from the rest of the pack but there is a jumbled mess of teams that could all make claims to be in that next group of national title contenders after that.

There are very few teams, though, that are truly proving that they belong in the Top 10. Ranked teams are dropping like flies every single week and that makes putting together these power rankings nearly impossible. Just about every team ranked Nos. 6-through-25 in my rankings from last week dropped at least one game over the past seven days and that caused some major shake-ups.

As a result, the teams that were able to notch a couple of wins during this past week were significant risers. Shoutout to Creighton, LSU, Auburn, Duke, Louisville, and a couple of rare others.

College basketball is just an unpredictable mess right now. It’s amazing.

So, without any further ado, let’s dive into this week’s edition of my NCAA basketball power rankings. As you should expect considering the incredible number of losses suffered by previously ranked teams, there was a ton of movement.
