player. 473. . . . Georgetown Hoyas. 8

Georgetown has lost four of its last five games and is currently on life support with regard to reaching the NCAA Tournament with an at-large bid. It is also important to mention that three of those aforementioned losses came in front of their home crowd as the Hoyas are not defending the nation’s capital all that well.

Georgetown’s resume is currently being buoyed by a solid collection of Quadrant 1 wins but the team has also already suffered double-digit losses. The Hoyas are standing at 13-10 (3-7 BE) right now and trending in the wrong direction.

It appears as though Georgetown’s lack of depth has finally caught up to it but it also hurts that Mac McClung has missed the last two games with an injury. The Hoyas could be radically different once he returns to action as they have seen other players step up in his absence.

Jahvon Blair, most notably, is flashing more confidence in his perimeter jumper. If he continues to let it fly from deep at high volumes and also catches fire when McClung returns, Georgetown’s offense could be hard to stop.

The Hoyas are running out of time to push for an at-large bid to the Big Dance but the door is still open. They still have both matchups with DePaul left on their schedule to hopefully pick up a pair of wins and some high-quality opportunities against the upper-tier of the league as well.
