The Top 9 of my NCAA basketball power rankings all won during this past week but it was mayhem after that. How did this week’s rankings shake out?

Another week of NCAA basketball is complete and thus arrives another copy of my Top 25 national power rankings. While the same level of chaos from the rest of the season once again wreaked havoc on the bottom half of my rankings, the Top 9 stayed relatively safe from harm while all avoided losses. There were a few shifts in the top of the rankings by the nature of certain teams impressing against high-level competition, but for the most part, those teams remained steady.

Most notably, Baylor continues to roll as my top-ranked team while Gonzaga remains right on their heels. This is especially true after the Bulldogs put together arguably the most dominant performance of the week by going on the road and taking down Saint Mary’s by 30. After those two at the top, Kansas/Dayton/San Diego State round out my Top 5 as they have for the last several weeks.

There were, though, several changes after that grouping and a couple of teams dropped out of the rankings as well.

With that said, though, I want to issue an apology to the fans of Rhode Island and Northern Iowa. Neither the Rams nor the Panthers are included in this edition of my Top 25 despite wanting to place both in the piece. The two squads are right on the outside-looking-in for my rankings and could be present next week. Either way, I think it is important to note that I am very high on both teams and their potential in the NCAA Tournament next month.

Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into my NCAA Basketball Top 25 Power Rankings for Week 15.
