2. If both win out, who should get the West Region 1 seed between Gonzaga and San Diego State?

Loose

If they both win out, it’ll go to Gonzaga based on resume, but it’s not all bad news for Aztec fans. There’s a solid shot that if they finish the regular season undefeated they’ll pass somebody and not have to play in the East Region.

Gonzaga. They will have the overall better wins and they will have both have the wins against common opponents in BYU. It is tough to keep San Diego State out of the west though especially considering they also have good wins. I think the committee will reward Gonzaga however. I don’t think it will be bad to go East. A 1 seed is a 1 seed.

Anderson

Gonzaga should be given the 1 seed given how the committee typically views them but in a culture where shock also wins, I wouldn’t be surprised if they forced SDSU to take a top seed elsewhere. It will definitely shake things up and force that “Watch Factor” wherever they are.
