West Virginia Basketball needs a bounce-back win in a big way after falling to Oklahoma on Saturday. They’ll have a big opportunity to do so against Kansas.

In their biggest game of the season to date, West Virginia Basketball will need to be firing on all cylinders in order to defeat Kansas basketball in a big matchup on Wednesday night.

The Jayhawks come in red-hot, with their only loss since the New Year coming at home to Baylor, the top team in the country.

Meanwhile, on the Mountaineers side, Bob Huggins’ group is looking for a statement win after suffering an upset to the hands of the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday.

Not only would a win be big for the Mountaineers tournament résumée, but it would do wonders in the Big 12 race. If the Mountaineers can hand Kansas its second loss of the conference slate, there could be an opportunity for West Virginia to make a run.

However, a lot needs to be accomplished before the Mountaineers can worry about seeding. Everything will have to go right for WVU to acquire such a big statement win, including the exorcising of Saturday’s demons.

If there is one characteristic of a Bob Huggins team, it is the ability to adjust and play their hearts out. Let’s take a look at those adjustments that need to be made and played out in order for an upset to ensue.
