Dayton Basketball looks to stay unbeaten in the Atlantic 10 when they face Duquesne at home on Saturday. Here are some keys to a big Dayton win.

No. 5 ranked Dayton Basketball (24-2, 13-0) are still undefeated in Atlantic 10 play, and with just four games remaining in the regular season after Saturday’s home tilt with Duquesne, they also continue to build a resume that could see them on the top seed line on Selection Sunday if things break right over the next month.

Anthony Grant and his team are enjoying a season to remember, but rest assured the Flyers deserve every bit of adoration they have received as they are one of the most well-rounded teams in the country. Everybody knows about Obi Toppin who leads the team in scoring (19.4) and rebounding (7.7) while shooting 62% from the field but the trio of guards Ibi Watson, Trey Landers and Jalen Crutcher provide more than an ample supporting cast for the Flyers with 36.3 points, 17.2 rebounds, 8.8 assists.

They rank 8th in the country in points per game with 80.6 and their 17.8 assists per game is 2nd best, and are the No. 1 team in the country in field-goal percentage (52%) and they shoot 37% from three-point land and defensively they surrender just 65 points per game.

After a 15-2 start, Keith Dambrot’s Duquesne Dukes (18-7,8-5) have gone just 4-5 over their last nine games with one of those losses at the hands of Dayton, a 73-69 loss in which the Dukes shot just 54% from the free-throw line.

If Dayton wants to remain in the conversation for a No. 1 seed, holding serve at home against Duquesne is imperative, here are some keys to them doing so.
