4. West Virginia Mountaineers (19-10, 7-9)

The West Virginia Mountaineers have finally cooled down, losers of three in a row, to TCU, Texas, and Oklahoma.

The young Mountaineers are still dangerous and among the top teams in the conference, but the play of Oscar Tshiebwe and Derek Culver has fallen off a tad bit, leading to a late-season slump.

Bob Huggins’ group is still firmly in the field of 64, but they need a win or two to close out Big 12 play in order to stay in contention for a top-six seed.

In addition to needing a win or two, the Mountaineers also need their young guys, particularly Tshiebwe and Miles McBride, to return to their early-season form that made West Virginia one of the top teams in the country at one point.

Of all of the question marks in college basketball this season, the West Virginia Mountaineers are the biggest question mark in the Big 12 Conference.
