There were many shifts in our bracketology projected field over the weekend. Check out where the Field of 68 stands heading into conference tournaments.

The 2019-20 college basketball regular season is drawing to a close across the nation. Mid-major conference tournaments are now underway and thus March Madness has truly begun. While many might believe that the madness doesn’t start until Selection Sunday, all 353 teams in the nation currently still have a shot at winning the national title if they are able to win ~10 games in a row from here on out. It’s highly unlikely but that is the truth and it’s what makes every day of March special in college hoops. Single-elimination basketball has already begun.

With conferences tournaments beginning, bracketology season is now at its peak. There are only a couple of weeks remaining until the Selection Committee convenes to put together its Field of 68 and therefore teams across the nation are desperate to add last-minute quality wins to bolster their resumes either for selection or seeding. Many of the teams projected to make the field should be deemed “locks” but those squads are also still fighting for higher seeding and the opportunities to play closer to home.

It is also important to mention that the bubble is an absolute mess this season. While there aren’t that many teams on the outside-looking-in fighting for inclusion, there also aren’t as many teams as usual that are safely in the field with two weeks left to play. Anything can happen leading up to March 15th (Selection Sunday) and my bracketology updates are designed to provide insight into what the committee might be thinking at this moment.

My bracketology schedule includes releasing updated projected fields on Tuesdays and Fridays (soon to be daily updates) and complete bubble watch breakdowns on Wednesdays. Without any further ado, let’s dive into what my projected field looks like heading into March 3rd.
