Conference USA Basketball had an extremely entertaining regular-season race, which should make for an exciting tournament. Here’s what you need to know.

Conference USA basketball is one of the best mid-major conferences in the country, and it has produced a number of really dangerous NCAA Tournament underdogs over the past few seasons.

Two years ago, conference champ Marshall upset Wichita State in the first round. Three years ago, Middle Tennessee upset Minnesota. Four years ago, Middle Tennessee shockingly knocked off Michigan State as a No. 15 seed.

Anyways, you get the picture. That history helps make the C-USA Tournament one of the more exciting mid-major tournaments in the country, especially as we get into the later rounds.

A handful of teams look potentially dangerous as regular-season champion North Texas, Western Kentucky, and Louisiana Tech all finished with at least 13 conference wins. Those three all won at least 20 games overall as well, and six other teams finished with winning records.

Despite the fact there are some favorites, the tournament could be pretty wide open. What should you watch for and how will it all play out? Here is our full preview for the Conference USA Tournament:
