Can the Razorbacks get in?

Arkansas (19-12, 7-11 SEC) is a team that got off to a hot start. The Razorbacks were a team everyone was watching, then conference play started and they struggled. But to win the SEC tournament, they have to win five games in five days. Not an easy task.

No team has done it in the first seven years of this format.

The furthest a team playing on day one of the tournament has made it in the semifinals. In 2015, No. 13 seed Auburn beat No. 12 seed Mississippi State, No. 5 seed Texas A&M and No. 4 seed LSU before losing to No. 1 overall seed Kentucky.

Not to say it’s not possible, UConn led by Kemba Walker, did it in 2011, winning the Big East tournament. The Huskies went on arguably the most magnificent postseason run in the sport’s history, capturing the national championship.
