Big Ten Basketball: Power rankings for end of 2019-20 season
By Adam Childs
MVP – Cassius Winston
Winston has meant everything to the Spartans in his four years in East Lansing. He helped lead them to three Big Ten titles and conference tournament championship also. He was the Big Ten POY last year and was again one of the best in the conference this year.
He has helped make everyone around him better and he and Xavier Tillman created one of the best one-two combos in the conference. He still averaged just over 18 points a game and dished out almost five assists per game. He shot just over 43% from deep and did all of this while the opposing team centered their defensive gameplan around him. The Spartans may have had some hiccups along the way but if it weren’t for Winston they would not have had the success they did this year.

Michigan State would beat Ohio State in on the last Sunday of the regular season to claim another share of the Big Ten title which would be their third in the row. It was also a day to celebrate Winston on his senior day. It was a special day that meant so much to everyone in attendance and especially for Winston and his family.
We could talk more about it but it wouldn’t do it justice for what it meant to the Spartan family. So instead let’s just take a look. (fast forward to the 3:55 mark)
