With the cancellation of the NCAA Basketball tournament, 68 teams never got to hear their names called. The seniors for many of the contenders are never going to get their final March moment.

While most of America is still trying to find their new normal and sports fans everywhere are still trying to fill the void that was once filled by Sports. This was supposed to be the biggest week of the year for sports fans. Opening Day of major league baseball, The NBA and NHL winding down their seasons and getting ready for the playoffs. Due to the Global Pandemic, all those things have been put on hold with good reason.

The College Basketball fans are going through withdrawals perhaps more than anyone. The best event in sports, the NCAA basketball tournament has been canceled. This week would have been the second weekend of the tournament and at the end of the weekend, the country would have known who the final four participants would have been. This year’s NCAA tournament was projected to be one of the best, especially in a season with no great teams. It was a year multiple mid-major teams had a chance to make the final four and two of them had a chance to win the tournament.

While fans will never know who was going to be crowned the champion and many conferences were never able to declare a conference champion. The fans fill the void by looking at mock tournaments and having discussions on who would have been in the tournament. What about the actual players?  They are never going to be able to fill the void left by having their seasons cut short. Some of the players are going to come back and make a run to the tournament next year.

However, some teams had some dynamic seniors who are never going to have a chance to have their final moment in the NCAA tournament. Many of the teams had a group of tremendous seniors who are going to miss their final moments.
