Killian Tillie, Admon Gilder, and Ryan Woolridge – Gonzaga Bulldogs

The Bulldogs were one of the teams hurt the most by the canceled tournament. The Bulldogs had a great chance to win the National Title. They were one of the best teams the entire season. They led the country in scoring and were in the top five for most of the year. I can hear it now, Gonzaga wasn’t going to win the tournament because they didn’t play anyone. As was mentioned before this tournament was wide open and anyone could have won it.

Gonzaga was led by three seniors two of which were grad transfers who wanted a run at a National Title. Admon Gilder and Ryan Woolridge were the two players who transferred from schools many didn’t think were going to make the NCAA tournament this year. Woolridge was a transfer from North Texas and stepped right in and ran the highest-powered offense in the country. Woolridge was one of the best shooters in the country as well. The point guard didn’t have to take the lions share of the shots in the offense, but he was incredibly efficient when he did. It is going to be hard to replace what Wooldridge brought to the offense even if it was for only one season.

Admon Gilder makes his way to Gonzaga after three years at Texas A&M. Gilder came off the bench and provided a spark to the second unit for the Bulldogs. Gilder like Woolridge is a great shooter and came to Gonzaga in search of playing in the NCAA tournament and for a chance to win a National Title. That again was cut short due to the canceling of the NCAA tournament.

Killian Tillie was a four-year player for the Bulldogs and the games he played provided a huge spark to Gonzaga. The problem with the big French man is he had a problem staying healthy. He always seemed to have various ailments during his time in Spokane. The Bulldogs have never gotten the respect they deserve and mostly due to their never winning a National Championship.

This year was supposed to be different. This year was going to be the year for Gonzaga and head coach Mark Few. Gonzaga will have to wait until next season to make their run at a National Championship.
